Its not completly obsolete. I can use both of them in my discarding EDH deck (which I intend to do so it makes me happy). Or mabye I could run eight of that effect and make burning inquiry do stupid.

Instant Speed Draw 3 for 5 mana
I'd say it does a comparable job to replacing mind spring.
Also they printed the first mill card I like. It straight says "as you draw cards you actively defeat your opponent"
Don't like not having looming shade. since the replacement shade is bad.
Reassembling Skeletons is cool as hell.
Much rather have snapping drake at common than an uncommon 2/4.
MAN O WAR - Baby, and it's a wizard.
Ajani's Pridemate is really cool too.
Almost got the 3/3 for 2 in green. But easily could get it later at uncommon.
Sacred wolf is possibly the most unflavorful card in magic. Wolves don't get super-shroud and are never x/1's.

Merfolk and Elves two most Iconic creatures of there color. That card also was in a cycle where all parts of the blue cycle were merfolk. Merfolk have flying rather frequently.
There are only 7 non-2/2 wolf references in magic. This count includes Sound the Call, 2 black cards, a portal card and a white card and none of which besides sound the call came out after Masques block.
WOLVES ARE 2/2. Wolves and shroud have never been associated together in magic thus far and quite frankly shrouded wolves makes no sense.

Cochran ...ladies and gentlemen of this supposed jury, I have one final thing I want you to consider. Ladies and gentlemen, this is Chewbacca. Chewbacca is a Wookiee from the planet Kashyyyk. But Chewbacca lives on the planet Endor. Now think about it; that does not make sense! Why would a Wookiee, an eight-foot tall Wookiee, want to live on Endor, with a bunch of two-foot tall Ewoks? That does not make sense! But more important, you have to ask yourself: What does this have to do with this case? Nothing. Ladies and gentlemen, it has nothing to do with this case! It does not make sense! Look at me. I'm a lawyer defending a major record company, and I'm talkin' about Chewbacca! Does that make sense? Ladies and gentlemen, I am not making any sense! None of this makes sense! And so you have to remember, when you're in that jury room deliberatin' and conjugatin' the Emancipation Proclamation, does it make sense? No! Ladies and gentlemen of this supposed jury, it does not make sense! If Chewbacca lives on Endor, you must acquit! The defense rests.
Therefore it makes no sense to have a 3/1 shroudy wolf. Even though the mock art=win.

OK, now that Condemn is being reprinted, I officially believe that UW control is far and away the best deck in Standard.

(ravnica) Its a 3/3 Or tundra wolf from tenth (although that was started in 4th) But yes, almost all wolves are 2/2s

I'm a bit disappointed about Mana Leak since now Jace will completely dominate the format (even more so I mean), but I guess I don't mind casting some sweet blue spells. Sucks for the blue haters though.

I have seem primeval titan And I must say I want it for EDH. I mean, I suspect it will suck in competitive formats. Afterall, 6 mana spells don't really need to deck thin (and tutor/ramp) but I suppose bigger cards are making it into standard. Anyways, I hope he plays terrible for standard so he is affordable for EDH. I want one and I think his ability is rare and amazing.

he pretty much does everything you would want in green in EDH. Beatstick with fetching!!
Edit: They seem to be bringing back the leylines but different. I want the blue one so bad

The blue leyline is pretty sick. Its not just its obvious interaction with discard either, its that blue gets to play draw go the entire game (or until the opponent destroys it). And if there is one thing that is really good for blue, its playing draw, go the entire game. I mean, we have good sorcery speed draw. And mana leak is back. If only they had reprinted force spike and any of the XU: counter target spell unless its controller pays X.

-Nantuko Shade -Dark Tutelage -Leyline of the Void -Grave Titan -Demon of Death's Gate
This set is awesome...
Also in terms of EDH, Serra Ascendant seems great.

Don't we usually play with the rule that those cards use the comparitive value? (50 in this case)

Supposedly many locations are starting to get their prerelease product around now, because it was shipped early to avoid the 4th. Expect the spoiler to fill out real quick in the near future.

wild evocation + hivemind means i force you to play stuff instead of holding back. YAY! ^_^
On a side note, isn't deflect a redish ability? i know there is willbender, but its been mostly in swerve and wild ricachet more right?

Red and blue share both deflection and copy instant/sorcery as part of their abilities.

Deflection effects started out in blue, but then they started moving them into red more recently. So I'm a little confused as to why they gave blue the new deflection and red the new fork.
Also does hornet sting mean they are branching burn into green???

Wow, this set is turning out to be pretty exciting. Nantuko Shade is an awesome reprint.
Also, Wild Evocation practically has Emrakul written all over it.

Also does hornet sting mean they are branching burn into green??? Nononono. Every once in a while, green gets a horribly inefficient burn spell flavored as a bee sting.

It almost makes me want to make a green burn deck... almost. I thought that every card in a set should have a reason to be there.
