I want to collect information regarding player interest for constructed events that the club can run next semester. Rather than create a bunch of polls, I'd rather have each player respond in this thread answering the following questions. If you want, here is a numerical scale you can use to answer each item: 5 - I'd do this every week! 4 - I would do this most weeks. 3 - I would do this occasionally. 2 - I might try this once. 1 - I would never do this. If these answers don't make sense for what you would play, then just give me that. I'm just trying to compile data to figure out how to get enough players to run regular tournaments. 1) Price:a) Option 1: $5 4 rounds, 1 booster pack per win. (EX: If you go 2-2, you get 2 booster packs). b) Option 2: $2 Typical Prize structure for an 8-man tournament would be $8-4-2-2 in value. (In packs or credit of some sort) c) Option 3: $1 $4-2-1-1? We probably can't use cash prizes, but we could work out a credit system. d) Free No real prizes unless Foam Brain can sponsor things. 2) Formats:a) Make Your Own Standard (MYOS) Rules can be found here. b) Legacy (Proxied or not) c) Other (Pauper, singleton, etc) There is plenty of interest in standard in club but this can be played in many locations already. 3) Day of the weekWhich day(s) of the week would you be most likely to show up to play in a tournament? Times?

According to your scales:
Id play: 5(as often as they were available) Price: out of your options, I'd prefer option 2 Formats: I'd play anything.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~`
A personal aside, because I was doing similar calculations of my own; at the price of $100 of a box, a pack costs about $2.78. I was thinking of doing constructed about every other week on Saturdays at 2PM; figuring people had free times on weekends, and late enough for the late wakers. I was imaging it could be either be $5 or $2 events. $5 being 1 prize pack per player being split along the top half/top4/top 2 and $2.22 going to the Club Treasury to be used at later events. The $2 event would be zero prizes and $2 going to Club Treasury. Both of these tournament would provide Magic Club Points(MCP).
Magic Club Points would be gathered throughout tournaments like tournaments ran this year by Konosuke-kun. However, I'm imagining a more developed and laid out plan. MCP would benefit players in special tournaments either through free entry, extra prize support, invite-only events, and player-of-the-year/semester reward. The benefit would be decided before the start of Fall semester by Club Leadership. The Club Treasury would provide one or multiple of the following: Free food at event, free prize support, free entry to limited based event, or any other suggestion that would benefit the club.
Sooooo back to the point, my ideas of $5 or $2 events would benefit the ideas of these special tournaments that I would be run at the midterm and end of each semester. So, that was going to be a good part of my speech I didn't get to do : /. Anyways, don't let me hijack this thread completely... make sure to post in response to Mike's polls.
I might play every week. however it is expensive to stay in standard
Price: a)($5) or d)($0)
myos or other, as long as it isn't too difficult to make a deck in that format.
days: I need to look at my schedule but weekends are probably good.
I would love to come to as many events as possible, but they often conflict with my schedule.
Pricing Option (a) appeals to me more, since the worst-case scenario is that I just bought a pack for a little too much.
I really have no preference for events, but Standard is my least favorite (note: not MYOS).
I have Wednesdays off next semester, so Tuesday nights would be great.
Interest: I'd do this most weeks it's available, depending on price.
Price: I'd prefer option a) or option d).
Formats: Casual, MYOS, maybe some less common stuff like EDH or Two-Headed Giant. I'd be interested in most everything besides Standard and Legacy/Vintage.
Day: My preferred day would be Saturday, in the afternoon, but I'd be fine as long as it's not Sunday evening, Monday, or Tuesday.
